FAQ'S

"Helping women get from where they are to where they want to be, one B.I.G.G. step at a time."

What Is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is a two-way conversation between a trained, qualified coach and a client, that focuses on actions and creating solutions. Coaching is the art and practice of enabling individuals to move from where they are to where they want to be. The basic premise of Coaching is that individuals can empower themselves when they take responsibility for their experience. The success of coaching depends on the willingness and commitment of the client to take on the changes they want.

Coaching is not for those who need therapy to overcome disruptive painful influences from the past; it is for relatively well-adjusted people to build vision and move forward toward the future. Coaching is not reactive looking back; it is proactive looking ahead. It is not about healing; it’s about growing." (Gary R. Collins Ph.D., author of Christian Counseling).

What is a Christian Life Coach?

Life Coaching is the art and practice of enabling individuals to move from where they are to where they want to be. A Christian Life Coach takes that concept and moves it into the light of Scripture and frames it in a Christian worldview. Based on the concept that God has a plan for your life and is eager to enable you to live it. Christian coaching facilitates your discovery of that plan and encourages to walk it out as you work it out on a biblical foundation.

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

A Christian Life Coach helps you to rekindle hope and shines the light of God's grace on the dreams He put in your heart. A Christian Life Coach will pray for you, encourage you, hold you accountable, help you plan and cheer you on to become who God created you to be.

How is Coaching Different From Therapy?

While life coaching can be therapeutic, it is not therapy. Coaching is distinct from traditional therapy because it is not designed to address psychological issues. While emotional issues may arise, the primary focus of life coaching is to help you identify your goals, achieve them, and develop constructive habits and skills. There is little emphasis placed on the past with coaching, but instead the focus is on creating what you want now and in the future.

Periodically, you will be given assignments to help direct your progress. Your life coach will work with you to acknowledge obstacles that stand in the way of achieving goals, explore alternate perspectives with moving forward and celebrate successes along the way. With the conclusion of each session, your goals will be revisited and evaluated for the next steps needed to achieve desired results.

Life coaching can make your dreams attainable and will give you support and encouragement along the way.
